Pregnant at home and train your pelvic floor?

Did you become a mom six weeks to three months ago?
And are you ready to get your pelvic floor and fitness back on track?
Then we are looking for you!

We, Marieke, Ine and Quirine, are three master students in physical therapy at the University of Antwerp.
As part of our master's thesis, we are looking for new mothers who want to join us in making a difference in improving pelvic floor exercise programs. Through this study we want to investigate whether an online exercise program has a positive effect on the quality of life and/or complaints in women who have just given birth.

Why?
  • 57% of women experience urinary incontinence after childbirth.
  • Other complaints: pain during intimate contact, holding up vaginal or anal winds , a heavy feeling.... are common!
  • Research shows that women do not receive enough tips and information on how to resolve these symptoms.
Do you experience any of these symptoms or would like to train your pelvic floor and fitness back after giving birth?
Then this study might be for you.
What to expect.
  • Informative videos and tips, with advice!
  • Access to the online exercise program for your pelvic floor, The Pelvic Floor Workout
  • You start with an 8-week step-by-step plan of exercises for your pelvic floor
  • You will have the opportunity to continue following the roadmap after the examination. The real program lasts 12 weeks!
  • Online and all from home!
  • Free
Would you like to join us in innovative research and get to know your pelvic floor better in the process?
